Undergrad Fellowships

Every summer, undergraduate students from Yale collaborate with renowned Yale faculty on real-world, interdisciplinary neuroscience research at the Institute. Wu Tsai Undergraduate Fellows work under the mentorship of faculty, postdocs, and graduate students from departments across biology, psychology, computer science, and related disciplines.

Students must be interested in interdisciplinary neuroscience and meet the eligibility requirements by the program's start. The program is open to Yale freshman, sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors with an interest in interdisciplinary research of relevance to cognition or in neuro-related computing or engineering, and who can contribute to diversity and inclusion through their identity, life experiences, work, or research.

Wu Tsai Undergraduate Fellows will do research in a Yale lab from May 28 – August 2, 2024, under the mentorship of faculty members, postdocs and grad students. They participate in workshops, seminars, and social events. At the end of the program, they have a chance to present their work at a closing symposium. Fellows receive a competitive stipend.

When applying for the fellowship, students should identify up to three Wu Tsai Faculty Members they would be interested in working with. Students who have already pre-identified and secured a Yale faculty member are also able to apply.
