In this talk, Marsel Mesulam will discuss how focal neurodegenerations offer new tools for probing the functional map of cognition and behavior—examining how these disorders have led to new insights into the anatomy of language and the specializations of the anterior temporal lobe. Mesulam will be hosted by Kia Nobre.

The focus of Mesulam’s work includes neural networks, functional imaging, dementia, cerebral cortex, cholinergic pathways, Alzheimer’s disease, and aging.
