WTI at Neuroscience 2024
The Wu Tsai Institute (WTI) at Yale University will be in Chicago, at the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) annual conference, October 5-9, 2024.
Visit the Institute’s booth (#1837) in the Neuroscience 2024 Exhibit Hall for an opportunity to meet Institute researchers from the biological, psychological, and computational sciences, as well as Institute leadership, including Nick Turk-Browne, Kia Nobre, and others. Learn about our open faculty positions, fellowship programs, state-of-the-art tools and facilities, and headquarters at 100 College Street in downtown New Haven. Plus, we will be giving away custom Yale swag.
Wu Tsai Travel Award
Yale trainees can apply for a Wu Tsai Travel Award to receive a $400 honorarium. Awardees join others representing the Wu Tsai Institute at our booth and around the conference, sharing insights about Yale's research programs and academic community. Recipients help the Institute build interdisciplinary bridges and expand their professional network. Applications are due by September 6, 2024.
Award Eligibility + Expectations
The Wu Tsai Travel Award application is open to Yale postbacs, grad students, or postdocs who are attending the Society for Neuroscience 2024 annual conference in Chicago, this October 5-9. Awardees will share their Yale experiences and interact with visitors at the Institute's booth or with students at the Early Career Poster Session.
Applicants whose research is particularly aligned with the Institute's mission and who are involved in Institute activities are especially encouraged to apply.
Recipients will receive an honorarium of $400, and as part of the award, agree to the following:
Participate in a one-hour pre-conference orientation.
Spend two (2) two-hour shifts volunteering for WTI (four hours total). During this time, you will be expected to talk to visitors or students presenting posters about your experiences at Yale and about our WTI programs and community.
Recipients will be responsible for registering attendees into the conference database, handing out swag as instructed, and helping with booth setup or take-down as needed.
