Luciano Floridi was educated at La Sapienza University of Rome (Laurea/MA) and Warwick (MPhil PhD). He was the OII Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Information at the University of Oxford before joining Yale University as the Founding Director of the Digital Ethics Center in 2023. His expertise is in digital ethics, the ethics of AI, the philosophy and ethics of information, and the philosophy of technology. Floridi's work focuses on understanding the impact of emerging technologies on society, exploring topics such as the digital transformation of human experience. He is married to Kia Nobre.
