Timothy Brady, PhD

Professor, Department of Psychology, UC San Diego

Timothy Brady is a cognitive scientist whose research focuses on the intersection of visual cognition and memory, using a combination of behavioral, cognitive neuroscience and computational methods.

In this talk, Brady will describe the insights that arise from considering how the visual system constrains memory representations. He will argue that we can make simple and highly explanatory cognitive models of perception and memory by considering the complex, high-dimensional nature of neural stimulus representations.

Please join us on Monday, January 29, for “Population-based representations as an explanation for perception, working memory and long-term memory errors.”
