My major research interests are in the design and analysis of algorithms. At WTI, this will involve algorithms for the analysis of data.

Biography

Daniel A. Spielman received his BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Yale in 1992, and his PhD in Applied Mathematics from MIT in 1995. After spending a year as an NSF Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Fellow in the Computer Science Department at UC Berkeley, he became a professor in the Applied Mathematics Department at MIT. He returned to Yale in 2005.
